Born in Barra Bonita (Brazil, SP), João begins his training at the end of 2015 at Academia Roda Viva. He works with teachers such as Jair Moraes, Erinaldo Conrado, Simone Malta, Ana Maria Campos, Olga Dolganova and Gisele Bellot. He wins many prizes at festivals and competitions in São Paulo. In 2018, he joins the Junior Company of Centro de Educação em Artes Basileu França, soon performing soloist roles in full-length productions such as "Le Corsaire", "La Bayadére" and "Coppélia". He also performed in a variety of neoclassical and contemporary ballets. In 2019/2020, he participates in several national and international competitions, being one of the finalists in the Youth America Grand Prix New York Finals and a prizewinner at the Festival de Dança de Joinville in the repertoire and contemporary categories. João is also 1st prizewinner at the South American Pre-Selections for the Prix de Lausanne 2020 contest and was a finalist and awarded the third scholarship in Montreux. João is joining the National Youth Ballet for the 2020/21 season.
